More Than Just Investments in Fish – Alaska and Fishing Quotas
It is extremely difficult to match the seafood that comes out of Alaska. This is on account of several reasons, chiefly among them is the fact that Alaska strictly legislates its fisheries. Unlike many countries and even states, Alaska doesn’t stick to a policy that favors commercial profit over the environment. It’s actually quite the opposite. Alaska’s constitution even stipulates that the fishing practices and such things as commercial fishing quotas be limited and constrained with regard to the environmental. In other words, all fishing must be done without doing damage to the environment.
